1. Maintenance points and cycles

Maintain projects

Suggested cycle

Core requirements

Lubrication

Every 100-500 hours

Select lubricant according to load and speed (ISO 6743/2:2021 standard)

Cleaning

After each shutdown

Use no velvet cloth + isopropyl alcohol to avoid metal debris accumulation

Pre-tightening check

Every quarter

Tested with torque wrench (error ≤±5%)

Wear inspection

Yearly

Use laser rangefinder to measure thread clearance (standard value ≤0.05mm)

2. Lubrication management specification

Lubricant selection

High speed scenario: lithium base grease (NLGI 2 class, ISO VG 68)

Heavy load scenario: Molybdenum disulfide composite lubricant (ASTM D4950 certified)

Environmental requirements: biodegradable lubricant (in accordance with ISO 14001:2015)

Note:

① Excessive lubrication may cause seal failure

② Mixing lubricants of different brands may cause chemical reactions (compatibility test is required)

3. Cleaning and anti-corrosion measures

3.1. Daily cleaning process

Remove the protective cover after power failure

Blow with compressed air (pressure ≤0.5MPa)

Residual oil stains should be wiped with acetone

3.2. Long-term shutdown anticorrosion

Coating anti-rust oil (in accordance with GB/T 7324-2008)

Sealed packaging (in an environment with humidity ≤ 40% RH)

4. Check standards regularly

Check item

Criterion of acceptability

Testing tool

Screw wear

Single side wear ≤0.1mm

3D microscope

End play

≤0.03mm (new screw)

Feeler

Bolt tolerance

Bias ≤0.02mm

Dialgauge

Wear monitoring: check the wear of lead screw and nut regularly, and replace them in time if serious wear or damage is found.‌

‌Running status: check whether the running is stable, whether there is abnormal noise or vibration, and adjust or repair when necessary.

5. Handling common problems

5.1. Abnormal noise

Possible cause: insufficient lubrication/thread lock

Emergency measures: Stop the machine immediately and use ultrasonic cleaner to treat it

5.2. Reduced positioning accuracy

Investigation steps:

① Check the preload (the torque value should comply with the manufacturer's manual)

② Measure the cumulative pitch error (the standard value is ≤0.05mm/300mm)

6. Six precautions

Prohibited operations

Do not use acidic/alkaline cleaning agents to contact the screw rod directly (may corrode the 304 stainless steel surface)

Fastener torque should be strictly followed in the manual (over torque may cause thread fracture)
