FAQ

  • Q 11.Do you manufacture all your products?

    A 11.ALM mainly produce linear modules,linear motors,ball screws,lead screws,guides.
For the other products,we have partners to complete our solutions.

  • Q What is repeated positioning accuracy of ball screw system?

A Repeated positioning accuracy refers to the accuracy of the load back to the same position when the ball screw system moves multiple times. The repeated positioning accuracy can reflect the stability and repeatability of the ball screw system.
  • Q What is ball screw drive torque?

A Ball screw drive torque is the moment or torque required to be applied by a ball screw drive system to drive a load in rotary motion. The amount of drive torque depends on the ball screw load, friction, transmission efficiency and other factors.
  • Q What is the steel ball diameter of ball screw?

A The diameters of the steel balls of ALM ball screws are as follows: 0.8mm/1.2mm/1.5875mm/2.0mm/2.5mm/3.175mm
  • Q What is the ball screw e300 value?

A Ball screw e300 value refers to the allowable pitch error of the ball screw at any 300m distance when the ball screw is moving freely.
  • Q How to know lead screw thread direction?

A In lead screw thread processing, if the direction of thread movement is opposite to the clockwise direction, it is called left rotation; If the lead screw thread moves in the same direction as clockwise, it is called right-handed lead screw.
  • Q What is the axial clearance of ball screw?

    A

The axial clearance refers to the gap or interval between the ball and the ball screw in ball screw system. The existence of axial clearance can make the ball screw freely telescopic during movement and maintain a certain axial clearance. Usually refers to the maximum axial movement between the screw and nut when the screw and the nut have no relative rotation.

  • Q What causes lead screws to break?

    A
There may be various reasons for the breakage of a lead screw rod, mainly including:
1.Overload: when the lead screw rod is subjected to loads exceeding its load-bearing capacity, it will cause the screw rod to break.

    2. Fatigue: long time reciprocating motion will lead to fatigue damage of the lead screw material, and eventually lead to breakage.

    3. Material defects: if the material of the lead screw has defects, such as cracks, inclusions, etc., will reduce the strength of the screw rod, easy to break.

4.Processing quality problems: If the processing quality of the lead screw is unqualified, such as excessive surface roughness, inaccurate hole size, etc., it will lead to stress concentration and increase the risk of lead screw fracture.
Analysis of section form: old and new fracture traces. If all are new, which may be caused by the customer's us.
  • Q What determines the speed of a linear motor?

    A
Linear motor speed is not determined by the inear motor but by the driver and linear guide rail. 3m/s is the highest speed for our linear motor modules, but it can be faster with better linear guides and higher voltage drivers.
  • Q What is the meaning of S1, S2,S3 in MTF and MHT linear motor models?

A In MHT and MTF linear motor model number,S1 is a basic unit, S2 and S3 are two and three basic units in parallel, respectively, and the thrust of S2 is twice that of S1 and the thrust of S3 is three times that of S1.
