1.Transmit torque and motion

The most fundamental function of a coupling is to transmit torque and rotational motion between two shafts, ensuring that power is smoothly transferred from the driving end to the driven end, thus guaranteeing the normal operation of the machinery.

2.Axial misalignment compensation

Due to manufacturing, installation errors, or factors such as thermal expansion and vibration during operation, there may be axial, radial, or angular offsets between the two shafts. Coupling can compensate for these offsets, ensuring normal connection and power transmission between the two shafts.

3. Absorbing vibrations and shocks

In mechanical drives, couplings can absorb vibrations and shocks caused by load changes, mechanical impacts, or imbalances, protecting other components in the drive system from damage and enhancing the overall stability and lifespan of the system.        

4. Overload protection

Some couplings are designed with safety devices that automatically disconnect when the transmitted torque exceeds a predetermined value, preventing critical components in the drive system from being damaged by overload, thus providing overload protection.

6. Enhance dynamic performance
