What Are The Common Protection Levels of Linear Actuator?

The internal parts of the electric linear actuator will affect its service life,protect the linear actuator from solid substances and liquid intrusion,and also ensure its service life.The IP rating improves the service life of the device and the safety requirements of the user.

IP is the abbreviation of Ingress Protection,and IP level is the level of protection against foreign body intrusion of electrical equipment enclosures.IP protection level is generally composed of two numbers or supplementary letters:the first number indicates the level of solid object entry,the second number indicates the level of waterproof entry,the larger the number,the higher the protection level generally.

●IP65
Completely prevent the intrusion of foreign objects and dust and prevent the intrusion of water sprayed in all directions,which can be used in the automation equipment that needs outdoor operation.

Completely prevent the invasion of foreign objects and dust and prevent the invasion of large waves,to a certain extent to achieve waterproof effect.

●IP67
The electric linear actuator is immersed in water from 15 cm to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes,which can prevent water from entering.It is mostly used in harsh outdoor environments.

●IP69K

ALM electric actuator also offers IP69K protection against high temperature and pressurized water,and the actuator with this protection level can be sprayed with a high-pressure water gun and is used for frequent cleaning and flushing applications.
