Stepper motor is an electromechanical device that converts electrical pulses into mechanical motion directly.By controlling the sequence,frequency and quantity of electric pulses applied on the motor coil,the steering,speed and rotation Angle of the stepper motor can be controlled.Without the closed-loop feedback control system with position sensing,the simple and low-cost open-loop control system composed of stepper motor and its matching drive can achieve accurate position and speed control.

●Main Parameters of Stepper Motor
(1) The number of phases of the stepper motor: refers to the number of coil groups inside the motor,currently commonly used two-phase,three-phase,five-phase stepper motors.
(2) Number of beats: the number of pulses or conductive state required to complete a periodic change in the magnetic field,expressed by m,or the number of pulses required for the motor to turn a pitch Angle.
(3) Maintain torque: refers to the moment when the stepper motor is energized but not rotated,the stator locks the rotor.
(4) Step Angle: corresponding to a pulse signal,the angular displacement of the motor rotor.
(5) Positioning torque:the locking torque of the motor rotor itself when the motor is not powered on.
(6) Out-of-step:the number of steps when the motor is running is not equal to the theoretical number of steps.
(7) Offset Angle:rotor tooth axis offset stator tooth axis Angle,motor operation will have an offset Angle,the error caused by the offset Angle,the use of subdivision drive can not be solved.
(8) Operating torque frequency characteristics: the curve of the relationship between the output torque and frequency in the operation of the motor is measured under certain test conditions.
