What are lead screws?
A leadscrew is a power screw or transmission screw, a screw used as a linkage in a machine, to transfer rotating motion into linear motion. Because of the large area of sliding contact between lead nut and shaft, lead screw has larger frictional energy losses compared to ball screws.Anyway,lead screw has it's advantages.
